Reuben Scott, is a classically trained oboist, who was born in Scotland and raised in Glasgow. During his youngest year’s, he began to play in south Lanarkshire orchestral society’s youth concert band’s this is where he discovered his passion for the oboe. Reuben continued to progress with oboe eventually applying to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotlands junior program where he later went to continue his music studies.During this time period he further developed his skills and explored a variety of genres taking particular interest in composer’s from the baroque and romantic period exploring the repertoire of Handel, CPE Bach, Nielsen and Saint-Saëns. Additionally during this time Reuben was apart of notable youth ensembles such as the national youth orchestra of Scotland as-well as performing in the fringe with Edinburgh's youth orchestra. Furthermore he gained opportunities to perform in venues such as Glasgow city hall, Greyfriars Kirk as-well as Perth’s concert hall. Reuben is furthering his studies at the Royal welsh college of music and drama in the fall of 2026.
